Son of Sardaar, also known by the abbreviation SOS, is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Ashwni Dhir.[4] The film features Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles and released on 13 November 2012. Salman Khan appears in a cameo role.[5]


It is a remake of the Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna (inspired by Our Hospitality a 1923 Silent comedy film directed by and starring Buster Keaton) directed by SS.Rajamouli. Although competing with the Yash Raj film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Son of Sardaar managed to do good business at the box office worldwide.[6] Box Office India declared it a Hit in India and an average grosser in the overseas markets.[7][8] It went on to gross ₹1.5 billion (US$21 million) worldwide.[9]

Drishyam (transl. Visuals) is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language drama thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. The film is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam-language film of the same name. The film was jointly produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajit Andhare and Abhishek Pathak. It stars Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Tabu and also features Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav.

The film was theatrically released in India on 31 July 2015 and received overwhelming reviews from critics. It grossed ₹93.85 crore in India and a worldwide total of ₹111.05 crore worldwide against a budget of ₹48 crore.[4]
Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) is an orphan who dropped out of school after his 4th grade. Now he is a content businessman running a cable TV service in Goa. He is married to Nandini (Shriya Saran), and have Anju, his adopted daughter (Ishita Dutta), a class twelve student, and Anu (Mrunal Jadhav), a class six student. His only interest is watching films. He has gained fame in his area for helping people out with the help of methods he learns from films.

During a nature camp which Anju attends, a hidden cell phone camera records Anju removing her clothes and showering in the bathroom. The culprit, Sameer "Sam" Deshmukh (Rishab Chaddha), is the son of Inspector General of Goa Police, Meera Deshmukh (Tabu). Sam comes to blackmail Anju for sexual favors. Nandini pleads with Sam to leave their family alone, but Sam refuses to delete the video clip unless his sexual demand is fulfilled. Nandini begs him to leave Anju alone, and Sam says that he would do it on one condition: Nandini should have sex with him instead. In an attempt to break the offending cell phone, Anju takes a swing at Sam with a lead pipe, but she strikes him in the head instead, killing him immediately. They bury his body in a compost pit in the backyard, which is witnessed by Anu. In the morning, when Vijay returns from work, Nandini tells Vijay about the incident and he devises a way to save his family from the police. He removes the broken cell phone and disposes of Sam's car, which is seen by the corrupt Sub-Inspector Laxmikant Gaitonde (Kamlesh Sawant), who has a grudge against Vijay. The next day, Vijay takes his family out on a trip to Panjim, where they visit an Ashram, watch a movie, and eat at a restaurant.

The Ring is a 2002 American supernatural horror film directed by Gore Verbinski and starring Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, David Dorfman, Brian Cox, and Daveigh Chase. It is a remake of the 1998 Japanese horror film Ring, based on the novel of the same name by Koji Suzuki. Watts portrays a journalist who investigates a cursed videotape that seemingly kills the viewer seven days after watching it.

The Ring was released theatrically on October 18, 2002, and received mostly positive reviews, with critics praising the atmosphere and Watts's performance. The film grossed over $249 million worldwide on a $48 million production budget, making it one of the highest-grossing horror remakes. It is the first installment of the American Ring series, and is followed by The Ring Two and Rings, which were released in 2005 and 2017, respectively.

The Ring paved the way for English-language remakes of Asian horror films, such as The Grudge, Dark Water, Pulse, One Missed Call, The Eye, Shutter, Mirrors, The Echo and The Uninvited.

Iron Man and Hulk: Heroes United is a direct to video animated film by Marvel Animation. The film is the first long form of animation for Marvel since its Marvel Universe TV block and was targeted to children.[4] The film stars Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man, Fred Tatasciore as Hulk/Banner,[4] and Dee Bradley Baker as Zzzax.[5]

The studio used a new process that they invented referred to as a "2-D wrap". This process starts with traditional animation then scanning into the computer to wrap it around the "characters to give texture and weight to backgrounds and strongly emphasize facial expressions."[4]

Rockstar is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. The film also stars Moufid Aziz, Aditi Rao Hydari, Piyush Mishra, Shernaz Patel, Kumud Mishra in supporting roles, and also Shammi Kapoor, who makes his last silver screen appearance. The film was produced by Eros International Ltd. along with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. It follows Janardhan Jakhar a.k.a. JJ or Jordan, who dreams of becoming a rockstar like his role model, Jim Morrison. Yet, eventually on attaining all that he dreamt of, Jordan ends up anguished and despondent, by the loss of Heer Kaul, whom he loved passionately and whose illness is inadvertently caused by Jordan himself.

Development of Rockstar commenced in May 2010. Nargis Fakhri was cast as the female lead, after plans to give the role to Kareena Kapoor were shelved. Filming in India took place at Delhi, Kashmir, Mumbai and Dharamsala, while the foreign sequences were shot in Prague and Liberec, Czech Republic.[5][6]

Rockstar was released on 11 November 2011. On the day of release, Tibetans in Chennai and Dharmasala protested against the Central Board of Film Certification for asking the film-makers to censor scenes featuring the Tibetan flag. Upon release, the film received positive to mixed reviews.[7] Critics highlighted Kapoor and Rahman as the stars of the film, but criticised the plot. The film did well at the box office, managing to appeal the youngsters in the cities.[8] Made on a budget of ₹600 million (US$8.4 million), Rockstar grossed ₹1.08 billion (US$15 million) worldwide.[9] Kapoor and Rahman received numerous awards for their work in the film

Anjaana Anjaani (transl. Strangers) is a 2010 Indian romantic comedy drama film directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as two suicidal strangers who meet and make a pact to commit suicide in twenty days on New Year's Eve. In the interim, the couple fulfil their personal wishes and eventually fall in love. Vishal-Shekhar composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by various artists.

Wanting to make an unusual romance film, Anand struggled to find unconventional ideas while he was writing. Then his wife Mamta came up with the core narrative of the film, which excited him and changed his perspective. Anand approached novelist Advaita Kala who developed the story into a feature-length script, and later co-wrote the screenplay with him. Principal photography was done entirely in New York City, Las Vegas and San Francisco.

The film was released on 1 October 2010 to mixed critical reviews. Reviewers praised the lead performances, music and cinematography, but were critical of the film's screenplay and pace. Made on a budget ₹380 million, Anjaana Anjaani, grossed ₹685 million making it a moderate box office success. Vishal-Shekhar were nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for the film's soundtrack.

Bajirao Mastani is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language epic historical romance film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also composed its soundtrack. The film was jointly produced by Bhansali and Eros International's Kishore Lulla; it stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. The supporting cast includes Tanvi Azmi, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Milind Soman. Based on the fictional Marathi novel Rau by Nagnath S. Inamdar, Bajirao Mastani narrates the story of the Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I (1700–1740 AD) and his second wife.

Conceived as early as the 1990s, Bhansali announced the film in 2003 but production was delayed several times due to its changing cast. Bajirao Mastani, a passion project for Bhansali, spent the next eleven years in development hell before being revived in 2014. Extensive research was done before moving into pre-production, which required the creation of twenty-two highly detailed sets, and numerous costumes and props to strengthen its opulence and high production value. Principal photography took place on sets constructed in Film City, with some portions being filmed on location. Visual effects and CGI were used in post-production to enhance a number of scenes.

The film was released on 18 December 2015 and praised for Bhansali's direction, various technical achievements, and the performances of the cast. Bajirao Mastani has also been noted for its scale, grandeur and attention to detail. With a budget of ₹145 crores, including marketing and advertisements, it is one of the most expensive Hindi films. It has grossed over ₹356 crores at the box office, becoming a major commercial success and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

Mary Kom is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead role of the eponymous boxer, with Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa in supporting roles of her husband and mentor, respectively. Mary Kom depicts Kom's journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo. The film marks the Hindi playback singing debut of Chopra, who provided her vocals for a song named "Chaoro" (a lullaby).

Mary Kom was developed by writer Saiwyn Quadras, who suggested the storyline to Kumar when Kom was not a familiar name in India despite her numerous achievements. Kumar met Kom to ask her permission for the film, before her bronze medal victory at the 2012 Summer Olympics, which brought her recognition. Chopra underwent extensive physical training for three months to attain a muscular physique and learned Kom's distinct boxing style. Principal photography started in June 2013 at Filmistan, where the boxing sequences were filmed. After plans to shoot in Kom's hometown, Manipur, were dropped due to safety concerns, Mary Kom was shot in Dharamshala and Manali, where a major portion of Manipur was recreated.

The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, becoming the first Hindi film to be screened on the opening night of the festival. Made on a budget of ₹180 million, Mary Kom was released on 5 September 2014 to generally positive reviews with praise for Chopra's performance. Upon its release, the film recorded the highest opening weekend of all time for a female-led Indian film. The film was a commercial success, grossing ₹1.04 billion at the box office. Mary Kom is also ranked among the highest-grossing Indian films starring a female actor.

Kahaani (IPA: [kəˈɦaːni]; English transl. Story) is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller film co-written, co-produced and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. It stars Vidya Balan as Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband in Kolkata during the festival of Durga Puja, assisted by Satyoki "Rana" Sinha (Parambrata Chatterjee) and Khan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).

Made on a shoestring budget of ₹80 million (US$1.1 million), Kahaani was conceived and developed by Ghosh, who co-wrote the film with Advaita Kala. The crew often employed guerrilla-filmmaking techniques on Kolkata's city streets to avoid attracting attention. The film was noted for its deft portrayal of the city and for making use of many local crew and cast members. Kahaani explores themes of feminism and motherhood in male-dominated Indian society. The film also makes several allusions to Satyajit Ray's films such as Charulata (1964), Aranyer Din Ratri (1970) and Joi Baba Felunath (1979).

Kahaani was released worldwide on 9 March 2012. Critics praised the screenplay, the cinematography and the performances of the lead actors. Following critical acclaim and word-of-mouth publicity, the film earned ₹1.04 billion (US$15 million) worldwide in 50 days. The film won several awards, including three National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. The latter included trophies for Best Director (Ghosh) and Best Actress (Vidya). A sequel, titled Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, was released on 2 December 2016.

Star Trek is an American media franchise based on the science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry. The first television series, called Star Trek and now known as "The Original Series", debuted on September 8, 1966 and aired for three seasons on NBC. Six new television series were eventually produced: Star Trek: The Next Generation follows the crew of a new starship Enterprise a century after the original series; Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager are set contemporaneously with the Next Generation, and Enterprise, set before the original series in the early days of human interstellar travel. The most recent Star Trek television series, Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard, stream exclusively on digital platforms. The adventures of the Next Generation crew continued in four additional feature films. In 2009, the film franchise underwent a reboot called the Kelvin Timeline. Movie Review: Lootera is a love saga of yore. The plot is an amalgamation of a story written by Vikramaditya Motwane with O' Henry's short story, The Last Leaf. It begins in Manikpur, West Bengal, in 1953.

A zamindar (Barun Chanda) dotes on his well-educated but impressionable girl, Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha). The landlord's Munim warns his master that courtesy the State Acquisition and Tenancy Act of 1950, zamindars like himself (read loyal to the British Empire) were losing their titles and prerogatives. But to no avail. The zamindar is visibly more concerned about his daughter's well-being, more so because she suffers from asthma.

Love Aaj Kal (2020 film)

Driven young lady Zoe Chauhan and growing kid Veer Taneja meet at a bar. They leave together from the bar and choose to go through the night together at Veer's home however Veer prevents Zoe from proceeding with their exercises. He reveals to her that the time isn't right. Zoe leaves, angered. Veer continues following Zoe, who at long last defies him and asks him not to follow her. 

There is a flashback scene where Leena and Raghuvendra "Raghu" Singh have a similar discussion, thinking back to the 1990s in Udaipur. 

Back to the current day, Veer drops her for a meeting at the workplace of the Mehta Group and they gradually start their relationship. The gathering's proprietor, Raj Mehta, likewise possesses where Zoe hangs out all the time. Raghu, who is old buddies with Zoe, discloses to her the tale of his youth darling, Leena, accordingly suggesting that he is an adult Raghu. He discloses to her that he used to act with Leena similarly as Veer carries on with Zoe, and recounts his own beloved recollections with Leena to Zoe and reveals to her how he approached Leena for a move together. 

In the flashback, it is seen that Raghu and Leena used to meet each other subtly and how Raghu left everything for Leena and moved for her to Delhi, stopping his investigations to be with Leena. Later one day Zoe strolls in on Raghu and a lady, accepting she is Leena, however understands it's not the situation. Raghu now Raj uncovers that he left Leena, for his own large town dreams. Zoe is persuaded by her mom that she can't in any way, shape or form have both her affection and profession together. She goes to meet Veer's folks, however leaves crying. Veer transfers to Raj what Zoe did, and Raj, persuaded that he affected Zoe towards acting along these lines, reacts by landing her the position. 

Occasionally later, Zoe sees Veer with another young lady. Crushed, she spends time with numerous individuals however doesn't occur to like any of them. She goes to a bar with a person and becomes inebriated yet he will not drop her at her home. Veer picks her and drops at her home. He tells that he can't enter a relationship of bargains with Zoe and parts ways with her. The following day he illuminates her about a new position in the Himalayas and is leaving for a long time, clarifying that he has as much option to be centered around his profession as does she, and says farewell to her. Zoe gets a proposition from the Mehta family to wed Rishabh, yet she won't. When Zoe goes to meet Raj, he discloses to her that he met Leena one final time, when he understood she was pregnant. He includes that he despite everything misses Leena, however is defenseless at this point. He begins crying and Zoe solaces him. Raj reveals to her that she shouldn't commit a similar error he made. Zoe leaves for the Himalayas to rejoin with Veer. She sees Veer resting outside. She proceeds to rest on him. She says that she won't have the option to adjust between adoration and work ever, yet at the same time, she needed to be with him. Veer asks whether she will take a jump with him, to which she concurs, and they rejoin.
